About the Author

Denise Taylor is originally from London, England but now resides in Southern California. She began her career as a professional dancer, touring the globe with many artists and companies until she decided to settle into California to pursue acting. She is a member of Dance Educators of America and is certified to teach dance anywhere in the United States.

After appearing in numerous plays, TV sitcoms, and commercials, Denise settled in behind the camera, doing voice over work for all manner of media.

In addition to her career as an entertainer, Denise has a passion for kids that developed from earlier work as a Nanny. Children have always been a part of her life and having the opportunity to care for them is one of her greatest joys.

While taking care of kids, Denise often found herself telling them stories, some true, some fictional, always entertaining and imaginative. Having the full attention of the kids and after repeated requests for more and more stories, Denise created the character Miss Delightful to tell children’s stories from her magical home on Sugar Dumpling Lane!

Denise is an outspoken advocate for reading to children. Reading allows kids to use their imaginations to see themselves in each story.

Stories create memories that kids enjoy and share with their families. Denise hopes that Miss Delightful will bring fun and happiness for children and their families all around the world!
